People shall not feel eyestrain
The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung visited the Grand People's Study House at the completion stage on September 26, 1981. He pointed out that the reading areas of the Grand People's Study House were not illuminated properly and he taught that either the reading areas should be lighted more brightly or the table lamps should be placed, and that the near lighting would not be injury to the eyes rather than the far lighting.
He continued that it would be a good thing if the table lamp might have put in the middle on every desk in the reading area, but now it would be difficult to do so because the construction was completed. The beautiful appearance of the building is not everything. In any way, it is necessary to illuminate the reading areas so as not to cause fatigue to our people's eyes. When we build a library in the future, we should design tables with table lamps.
