GPSH into a Grand Palace for All People's Learning of Our Own Unique Style

In his speech made in the meeting of senior officials of economic sectors on Jan 2nd 1990, President Kim Il Sung taught that the Grand People’s Study House, unlike any other foreign libraries, is characterized not only by its books but its full capacity to accommodate people with all the conditions for study, saying that ordinary libraries only have reading rooms and stacks of books whereas the Grand People’s Study House has not only reading rooms but also lecture rooms, translation rooms and many other study rooms.

He went on to say that the Grand People’s Study House should maintain its high level of management, for its mission is to give lectures, translate modern scientific and technological documents and serve audio and video programs with a lot of lecturers and translators.
