If the child wants to have a red ball on the table or if he is curious about it, the child’s mother should not bring it to her child, but help the child to creep and get it. When the mother's excessive “kindness” makes her child to get easily everything desired, the child will not be particularly interested in what s/he has got in hand.
But if the child who had wanted to have a doll on the table have crawled and managed to get into hands, s/he would have a special interest in it. It can be said that a child who crawls with all his power to target a doll on a desk is already beginning to have a clear goal and is willing to make a decision.
She might feel a bit sorry to see the child crawling and falling and looking up at her for help, but it is a better way of educating her child to help to get the things desired by oneself.
